Job Description

Electrical Construction / INDOT Project Manager

Midwestern Electric is seeking a Project Manager with electrical construction and / or INDOT experience to join our Estimating / Project Management department in Indianapolis. Our specialization includes highway lighting, ITS system installation and maintenance, traffic signals, and high voltage electrical work.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Procure work and develop clientele.
  • Manage project development from initiation to closure.
  • Be accountable for project results.
  • Resolve issues and solve problems throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage project scope, ensuring changes are documented and approved via change order forms.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate project team members proactively.
  • Collaborate with other disciplines for estimates and project coordination.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Solid knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, engineering principles, and accounting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Good attitude and effective team work skills.
  • Self-motivated with minimal supervision.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and Indiana DOT systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
