Position Overview :

The Nursing Assistant provides basic nursing care to a patient population under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Job Description : Patient Care

Patient Care

• Provides care with respect and attention to patient privacy, age specific needs and cultural diversity.
• Responds to call lights promptly and routinely rounds on patients.
• Follows direction of RN and completes assigned tasks independently.
• Demonstrates ability to perform basic nursing care procedures including, but no limited to : BathingFeedingWeightsVital SignsLinen Changes Positioning, transferring and ambulatingMeasurement of intake and output Specimen collection

EDUCATION

• Equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma.
• HS Diploma : High School Diploma or General Education (GED) or equivalent education / experience
• Other : Hospital Assistant or equivalent training (nursing student)

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE

• CNA-Certified Nurse Assistant
• ACNP-Acute Care Nurse Practitioner
• BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AS TYPICALLY ACQUIRED IN :

Previous experience as a Nursing Assistant an acute care hospital required or nursing student.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

Requires communication, organization and relationship skills.

Pay Range is $29.77 to $33.34 / hour

The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location. This range has not been adjusted for any specific geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled.

Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs.
