About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : ICU Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Variable night and day schedule, 12-hour shifts, 7 : 00 - 7 : 30 Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Previous experience as a Registered Nurse is preferred;
ICU experience required License : Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice is required Certifications : Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification upon hire or obtained within 60 days of hire.
ACLS / NRP / PALS as appropriate for the unit or service is preferred. Must-Have : Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required.
A Registered Nurse with an ASN / ADN degree must complete a BSN degree within four years from the date of hire unless having a minimum of fifteen years of proven continuous experience in an acute care setting.
Job Description : Performs independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards.
- Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates nursing care.- Evaluates health status through the ongoing collection and assessment of health data.
- Performs health teaching and health counseling.- Provides therapy and treatment supportive and restorative to life and well-being.
- Executes delegated medical functions.- Refers patients as needed for further evaluation or treatment.- Reviews and monitors therapy and treatment plans.
- Documents in accordance with guidelines.- Utilizes resources as needed.- Promotes mission, vision, and values and abides by service behavior standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.- May be required to float to other departments (within scope of competency and qualifications) based on business needs.
- May be required to be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift.
