At Peloton, exceptional hardware is key to delighting our customers. We are seeking a Senior Engineering Program Manager (EPM) to drive planning and execution of large-scale, cross-team initiatives.

This role is within Hardware Product Development reporting to the EPM Director. They will work closely with Product Management, Industrial Design, Quality, Engineering, Software, and Manufacturing.

The ideal candidate has incredible organization skills and is able to get things done with timeliness, difficulty, and autonomy while building strong teams.

YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTON

  • Be the glue that helps the team get things done on time, on budget, in full.
  • Ensure all team members understand the business value and goals tied to the effort.
  • Scope and plan projects : set goals and important metrics, build project plans, identify key partners, identify risks and contingency plans, develop a change management plan.
  • Develop and manage program budgets and schedules for large projects from feasibility through launch.
  • Proactively identify, communicate, and resolve dependencies, risks, and issues.
  • Provide visibility by holding the responsibility for regular reporting to key stakeholders and executives on project and program changes and status.
  • Help the team with ongoing improvements to the Product Development Process.
  • Handle key supplier relationships including but not limited to engineering suppliers, contract manufacturers, component suppliers, and design and engineering freelancers.
  • Coordinate day-to-day operations associated with the project including ship items, unbox and set-up prototypes, answering supplier emails quickly, organize group meetings and calls, obtain samples, manage and organize all project documentation.

YOU BRING TO PELOTON

  • You are self-motivated, willing to take action, pragmatic, and intellectually curious.
  • 12 years of program or product experience in hardware development : consumer electronics, fitness equipment, appliances, or automobiles.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to inspire team members.
  • Project management training, certification, or experience; PMP certification preferred.
  • Fluent in Mandarin.
  • Experience managing projects with Asia-based manufacturing.
  • Detailed understanding of the Product Development Process and broad understanding of the supply chain and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to speak and translate between technical and non-technical business partners.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills to influence stakeholders across various audiences including engineers, managers, and executives.
  • Experience with collaboration tools like JIRA and Confluence.
