The individual uses approved automation software applications to automate each test case. They provide metrics and quality artifacts to meet internal and external quality compliance requirements.
Position Reports to : Manager, Software EngineeringJob Overview : The Software Engineer in Test-I (SDET) is expected to work in a fast-paced environment as a software engineering scrum team member to understand customer requirements, design, create and automate test cases that adequately exercise each section of code.
The individual uses approved automation software applications to automate each test case. They provide metrics and quality artifacts to meet internal and external quality compliance requirements.
The position must collaborate with cross functional teams to meet the customer quality specifications. The position is responsible for implementation and documentation of code automation.
Follow standard practices and procedures for all test development.Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Validates assigned software products using systematic tests to develop,apply, and maintain quality standards while working in the agile team.
Learns, develops, modifies, and executes complete test plans based on design specificationsResponsible for one piece of automation code for a feature or module.
Observes and records defects in software products while analyzing failures through automated or semi-automated test execution.
Learning products and design process to execute exploratory testingAbility to communicate within a team environment, working with development engineers in resolution of simple to moderate problemsEnsures quality integration into all aspects of software development, data acquisition, and processingLearns and understands hardware and software systems and platformUses current programming languages and technologiesLearn established QA processes and proceduresLearns basic programming while working in a team.
Learning products and design process to execute exploratory testingAbility to communicate within a team environment, working with development engineers in resolution of simple to moderate problemsEnthusiasm and drive to succeed and willingness to learn.
Moderate written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to deal professionally and collaboratively with all levels of the organization and across geographiesEnsures quality integration into all aspects of software development, data acquisition, and processingFollows work plans and meets due datesRequired Qualifications : 1+ years of experience working on software quality environmentsResponds to learning suggestions positivelyDemonstrates basic analytical problem-solving skills.
Curious / eager to innovate.Basic knowledge of test automation frameworksBasic knowledge of tracking systems and test case management systems methodologiesFamiliarity with building test environments for functional, system and stresstesting.
