Overview

Position Summary

The Global Orphan Project (GO Project) Content Strategist is a versatile creative strategist with a desire to use their talents in pursuit of the organization's mission to break the orphan cycle.

Part content guru and part strategy, this role will ensure we carefully curate and develop the brand voice of the organization.

The ideal person for this position will create and cultivate great brand content for the GO Project brands. They will bring strong strategic thinking and amazing work.

They will also be collaborative; results focused and will lead out on all content to ensure it aligns with brand voices and fits within priorities set by our marketing goals and KPI's.

Success for this producer means crafting content that's second to none, pushing our clients' brands forward to maximize impact be helping to achieve and exceed goals.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO)Act as primary content writer or content creator for GO ProjectAct as "editor and chief" of all content produced ensuring we execute with excellence in alignment with our marketing goals and KPIs :

Holistic revising for tone, voice, brand, format and recommendations for contracted writersProofreading + micro edits for other contracted writersReview and editing of social content and email marketingAs primary writer and editor for web content, ensure content is fully executed and error free

Participate in brand strategy meetings, driving the content portion of the conversationCraft holistic content vision within deadlines for monthly communications, including content calendars (email marketing, web content, blog content, etc.

Drive brand messaging, voice and tone for GO Project, while maintaining understanding of the growth of its brandsCollect and curate stories that show the results of the impact of investment of key audiencesStrategize to ensure content is consistent and compelling across delivery channelsCoordinate with Digital Marketing Specialist in the creation and execution of monthly and ad hoc emailsExplore and maintain understanding of key GO Project audiencesAttend meetings with GO Project stakeholders to ask the relevant questions and gain the insights required to constantly improving content that resonates with intended audiencesAid teammates and contractors in content needs - guiding in writing, offering direction, editing, "second pair of eyes," etc.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

Bachelors in communications or related fieldFour to six years of writing experienceExperience with the industry standard marketing platforms, plus Google and Microsoft 365 is preferredExperience creating integrated creative content across all marketing channelsProven decision-maker demonstrating discernmentExcellent presentation, analytical and communication skillsPersonal and professional integrity with unwavering respect for co-workers and our stakeholdersPassionate about empowering local churches to care for children and families in crisisA personal desire to answer God's invitation to serve the vulnerable
