Position Overview :
Soliant Education is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Lakewood, Washington.
This role involves supporting Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) in providing therapy services to students with speech, language, and communication disorders.
Responsibilities :
- Assist SLPs in conducting speech and language screenings and evaluations
- Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising SLP
- Provide direct therapy services to students under the supervision of an SLP
- Prepare materials and equipment for therapy sessions
- Document student progress and report findings to the supervising SLP
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students educational goals
Qualifications :
- Associates Degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program
- Valid Washington SLPA license
- Experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
