We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Manufacturing Facility Maintenance Engineering Supervisor to join our maintenance team.
Manufacturing Facility Maintenance and Engineering Supervisor
Overview :
The Manufacturing Facility Maintenance and Engineering Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all maintenance and engineering activities within our manufacturing facility.
This role ensures the efficient operation of equipment, machinery, and infrastructure, while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Responsibilities :
Maintenance Planning and Scheduling : Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans and schedules to optimize equipment uptime and minimize downtime.
Preventive and Predictive Maintenance : Oversee the implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance programs to identify potential problems before they occur and extend the lifespan of equipment.
Corrective Maintenance : Manage corrective maintenance activities, including troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of faulty equipment.
Engineering Support : Provide engineering support for facility projects, including equipment upgrades, process improvements, and new installations.
Team Management : Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, ensuring their training, development, and performance.
Communicate effectively with colleagues.
Safety and Compliance : Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and industry standards and implement safety measures to prevent accidents and injuries.
Budget Management : Assist in developing and managing the maintenance and engineering budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Learn and adapt to new tasks and technologies.
Workplace environment : Assist in maintaining a clean and organized maintenance shop and storage areas for tools and spare parts.
Manager Support : Perform any other duties as assigned by the maintenance and engineering manager.
Emergency Support : Be able to provide support during emergency situations at the facility which may occur outside standard scheduled working hours.
Qualifications :
Associate or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing facility maintenance and engineering.
Strong knowledge of maintenance principles, techniques, and equipment.
Proven experience in managing maintenance teams and projects.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
Additional Skills (Preferred) :
Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Familiarity with PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers) and automation systems
Certification in maintenance management or a related field.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
