Telecommunications Installer DC (Level II)
KMM Telecommunications is looking for a motivated and skilled Low Voltage / DC Technician to join our Team of Telecommunications Professionals in the Salt Lake City market, with travel to surrounding areas.
Qualified candidates will have 6 or more years of low voltage / DC / battery installation experience, a valid driver license, and the willingness to work different shifts (swing shifts).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Install and configure low voltage systems, following manufacturer specifications, industry, and company standards.
- Conduct testing, routine maintenance and quality assurance checks to verify the proper functioning of systems.
- Ensure all installations meet safety, compliance, and company standards.
- Create and maintain detailed records of all installations, as-built drawings, repairs, and maintenance activities.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working.
- Identify potential safety hazards and take appropriate measures to mitigate risks.
- Travel to various locations
Job Requirements :
- 3 years of experience in the low-voltage industry / DC Equipment Installation
- Must have experience installing PDF's and -48V Battery systems
- Ability to operate motorized lift equipment to maneuver, install or remove 80-750 lb. batteries
- Valid driver’s license.
- Frequently pushing or pulling cables up to 60 lbs.
- Frequently climbing ladders up to 8 ft.
- Frequently working / standing on ladders for long periods of time
- Continuous standing
- Frequently reaching above, below or at shoulder level
- Frequently bending, twisting, or stooping
- Frequently crouching or squatting
- Be exposed to varying environments with moderate noise levels, nominal variations in heat and cold
Preferred Qualifications :
- Prior field engineering experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Electrical degree, certificate, or apprenticeship
- AC Electrical experience
