The Role :

Do you want to drive the future of computing? AMD is looking for a key leader in the Product Management organization - one who is responsible for defining and driving the next generation of AMD Server processors.

In this highly collaborative role, you will work with technologists, engineering leaders, and key influencers at partner companies to build our next-generation solutions.

You'll be responsible for crafting the product vision and evangelizing that vision internally and externally - ultimately launching a product that lives up to the goals you set!

The Person :

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in product management in Server computing products with technical core expertise in silicon, platforms systems, and the software ecosystem that enables them.

Success in the role requires strong leadership skills to empower and engage AMD executives, engineers, architects, marketers, program managers, finance, and business development professionals.

Candidates are encouraged to have significant experience in the following areas :

Product Leadership - ability to define a server product, develop & articulate its value proposition, and drive across the company to execute on that product vision.

Technical depth - ability to engage platform and silicon engineers to understand next-gen features and articulate benefits to customers.

Business Insight - ability to analyze markets, build business cases, develop pricing strategies, and build product transition strategies.

New Product Introduction - ability to lead and collaborate to drive new product introductions, bringing new products to market in concert with the Server Product Marketing, Customer & Executive Leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities :

Ownership of a product generation portfolio within the Server Business Unit with responsibility for driving execution from planning through high volume production and end of life.

Build tight working relationship with customers and partners to best define products based on their evolving needs.

Collaborating with engineering, business development and sales teams to synthesize market requirements into winning products for Cloud & Enterprise segments.

Defining & articulating value propositions to secure design wins, building and maintaining customer facing product deck through the life of the product.

Building and justifying product pricing as appropriate to meet product goals.

Developing product specifications, turning into a portfolio of server products.

Collaborating with engineering execution teams to ensure product requirements, goals and objectives are met and exceeded.

Partnering with engineering teams to drive and deliver the promised value proposition and vision for Server products.

Leading product migration across multiple generations supporting consistent share growth in selected vertical markets.

Representing AMD's interests in discussions with key customers & partners

Preferred Experience :

Ability to convert highly technical value propositions into a compelling customer story.

Core expertise in servers including processor, platform, systems, solutions, and software technologies.

Outstanding communication skills to convey concepts and recommendations from C-level executives to working level peers.

Ability to guide product definition using credible insights developed by interacting with end customers, strategic partners and by following usage, market, and economic trends.

Excellent understanding of how the P&L works for a >

$1B business.

Skillful in using tools for data analysis and for presentations.

Academic Credentials :

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, MSEE or MBA preferred.

Qualifications :

At AMD, your base pay is one part of your total rewards package. Your base pay will depend on where your skills, qualifications, experience, and location fit into the hiring range for the position.

You may be eligible for incentives based upon your role such as either an annual bonus or sales incentive. Many AMD employees have the opportunity to own shares of AMD stock, as well as a discount when purchasing AMD stock if voluntarily participating in AMD’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
