ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY :

Comtech Systems, Inc (CSI) is looking for System Administrator Tier III Support candidates who will be responsible for maintaining and operating a computer system and / or network.

Candidates will be expected to work with a spirit of cooperation and must exhibit a tenacious work ethic while possessing the drive and critical thinking to excel in potentially tumultuous conditions.

• Prefer candidates with a valid US passport.
• Must have an active, current Secret Clearance.

PRIMARY DUTIES :

All candidates will perform the following duties :

• Provide detailed knowledge of deploying information systems, managing, and troubleshooting Windows Active Directory, Group Policy Object (GPOs), and Domain Name Service (DNS).
• Provide detailed knowledge of Microsoft operating systems Windows 2008(R2) and Windows Server 2003.
• Provide detailed knowledge of system deployment, management, and troubleshooting of messaging protocols and operations with Microsoft Exchange 2003 and Exchange 2010 products.
• Provide detailed knowledge of backup technologies specifically Symantec backup exec and NetApp SIPR / NIPR Access Point (SNAP) manager utilities.
• Provide knowledge and familiarity with reviewing and deploying vendor updates for security patches.
• Provide knowledge and familiarity with storage technologies such as Storage Area Network (SAN) or Network Attached Storage (NAS).
• Provide knowledge and familiarity with server performance tuning and monitoring tools.
• Provide knowledge and familiarity with server configuration and management tools (Microsoft System Center Operations manager (SCOM) and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)).
• Provide network troubleshooting skills and knowledge of networks.
• Provide technical documentation skills. Provide knowledge and familiarity of action plans for planned and unplanned changes to the network infrastructure.
• Provide experience with server performance tuning and monitoring tools.
• Provide technical documentation skills.

SKILLS REQUIRED :

All candidates will have the following minimum skills :

• Three (3) years of related work experience working with Windows 2003 server and Exchange 2003 systems administration.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a military environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally with diverse audiences, internally and externally to foster strong teamwork.
• Work well independently or as a member of a team environment
• Detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :

Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, OR an Associate’s degree plus 7 years of recent specialized experience, OR eleven (11) total years of recent specialized experience.

• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Experience in maintaining certifications related to the requirement of the position.

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS :

All candidates will have one (1) of the following required certification(s) :

• CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP+) CE
• Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Security
• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
• Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) (or Associate)
• GIAC Certified Enterprise Defender (GCED)
• GIAC Incident Handler (GCIH)
• Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)
