Payroll Paraprofessional - REMOTE POSITION
Full-Time (40hrs) / Non-Exempt-Hourly
Position Description :
The role of Payroll Paraprofessional is to assist the professional staff with preparation of individual income tax returns, as well as payroll processing on behalf of clients.
Paraprofessionals may also be asked to prepare workpapers and schedules for payroll or complex tax engagements.
Responsibilities :
- Maintains files of correspondence and other records
- Assist with 1040 tax returns and other tax forms
- Assist in responding to notices and act as client representative with tax authorities
- Conduct gross up computation for expatriates
- Maintain payroll operation by collecting and entering data
- Process payroll in a timely manner
- Review payroll reporting and withholdings for wages for accuracy
- Communicate with clients effectively as a point of contact
Qualifications :
- Previous experience in accounting and payroll is preferred
- Strong tax accounting and analytical skills.
- Strong computer skills : proficiency in tax accounting software, Excel, Word.
- Excellent interpersonal oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task and set daily, weekly and monthly priorities.
- Detail-oriented with a strong level of accuracy in aspects of reporting and communication. Benefits :
