GENERAL FUNCTION

The Director, Business Development is responsible for leading efforts in managing and maintaining strategic partnerships.

The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a proven track record of developing and executing growth strategies through strategic partnerships.

This role requires a deep understanding of market dynamics, exceptional negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify, evaluate, and secure new strategic partnership opportunities that align with the company's growth objectives.
  • Assist and support Chief Wearables Officer with management of strategic partnerships at the top management level.
  • Lead management of the partnerships at the executive and working team levels.
  • Partner with team members to manage communication and meetings between EssilorLuxottica and partners.
  • Lead negotiations and execution activities for all contractual agreements.
  • Partner with team members to prepare and present contract terms to EssilorLuxottica executives in preparation for negotiations.
  • Collaborate with internal working teams, including legal, sales, marketing, product, operations, manufacturing, and finance to ensure alignment and support for contractual and business initiatives.
  • Maintain relationships with other strategic industry partners.
  • Participate in a committee that reviews companies / technologies for potential investment or acquisition opportunities.
  • Engage with companies with compelling technologies that could be meaningful for EssilorLuxottica.
  • Assist with contract negotiations for other areas of Wearable Technology.
  • Assist and support EssilorLuxottica Marketing team with marketing budget and allocation discussions with partner leadership teams.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in business development, with a focus on strategic partnerships and alliance management.

Experience in the tech industry is a plus.

  • Proven track record of successful partnership development and negotiation.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead and motivate a team effectively.
  • High level of business acumen and understanding of market dynamics.
  • Proficiency in CRM and business development tools.

Pay Range : 167,892.33-239,515.87

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage requirements.

In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and / or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package.
