Required Qualifications :
- Valid Michigan teaching certificate with K-12 Physical / Health certification and at least one other core subject.
- Meet requirements for a background check and fingerprinting.
- Alternative applicable qualifications may be considered.
Job Requirements, Knowledge, and Skills :
A successful candidate will possess :
- Successful experience working with students of all ages.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Provide instruction consistent with District and school expectations which meets the needs of all students assigned to the teacher.
- Knowledge of best practices in classroom instruction and technology integration.
- Experience working as part of a collaborative team.
A successful candidate will be able to :
- Relate to and instruct children in large groups, small groups, and individualized settings.
- Develop and use strategies to improve student achievement in all core content areas.
- Use formative and summative assessments to guide instruction.
- Effectively utilize classroom discipline strategies while providing positive reinforcement.
- Contribute to a professional learning team.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure student success and a positive school climate.
Salary : As per the negotiated district contract.
