POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant Manager is a registered nurse who, using critical thinking skills, coordinates the clinical activities within the Adult Emergency Department and collaborates with other members of the health care team.
She / he directly and indirectly supervises the care rendered by all emergency service line staff.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education : Associate Degree, BSN preferred
Experience : 2-3 yrs RN experience in emergency nursing
License : REGISTERED NURSE
Certification :
- BLS / CPR (AMERICAN HEART ASSN)
- NIHSS 3 CEU COURSE ACLS (AMERICAN HEART ASSN)
- CPI (WITHIN 30 DAYS
- PALS by 12 / 31 / 2019. INEXPERIENCED : (WITHIN 180 DAYS OF HIRE OR TRANSFER)
- TNCC by 5 / 30 / 2020. INEXPERIENCED : (WITHIN 2 YEARS OF HIRE OR TRANSFER)

Responsible for department / s on a 24-hour basis.
Education :
Required : Academic degree in nursing.
Preferred : Bachelor's or master's degree.
Experience :
Required : 1 year of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a leader or full-time charge nurse / related position.
Certifications :
Required : Currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy. AHA BLS.
