We are looking for a skilled Cash Application Specialist to join our team in Mendota Heights, Minnesota. This long-term contract position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced wholesale distribution environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in handling cash applications and resolving unapplied transactions while maintaining excellent communication with customers.

Responsibilities :

• Process cash applications efficiently, ensuring accurate allocation of payments to customer accounts.
• Investigate and resolve unapplied cash transactions, collaborating with customers to address discrepancies.
• Communicate with customers professionally to handle payment inquiries and provide timely resolutions.
• Utilize accounting software systems and tools to manage accounts receivable processes.
• Support customer setups by coordinating with banks and ensuring proper documentation for payment drafts.
• Perform data analysis to identify trends and discrepancies in cash activity.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline billing and automated clearing house (ACH) functions.
• Maintain accurate records of cash transactions and ensure compliance with company policies.
• Leverage Salesforce or similar CRM platforms to enhance customer communication and payment tracking.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the cash application process.
• Proven experience in cash application processes and accounts receivable functions.
• Strong ability to research and resolve unapplied cash transactions.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with customers.
• Familiarity with accounting software systems and tools such as CyberSource and Epic.
• Knowledge of automated clearing house (ACH) and billing functions.
• Experience with Salesforce or similar platforms is preferred.
• Understanding of banking draft processes and customer setup procedures.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills.
