Position Overview :

We are looking to employ an Occupational Therapist (OT)who works with individuals to help them participate in theactivities of daily life (ADLs) and improve their overallwellbeing.

Your primary goal is to enable people to engage inmeaningful and purposeful activities despite physical developmentalsocial or emotional challenges.

Essentialfunctions of the job may include but are not limited to thefollowing : Assessment Treatment Planning Intervention ClientEducation Adaptive Techniques and Equipment Collaboration MentalHealth Support Workplace Ergonomics.

As anOccupational therapist you will regularly collaborate with otherdisciplines and services at departmental and system levels.

Youwill be expected to independently review outcomes and modifyintervention programs.

KeyResponsibilities :

• Occupational therapists assess the clientsphysical cognitive emotional and environmental factors that mayaffect their ability to perform dailyactivities
• Based on the assessment OTs developindividualized treatment plans to address specific challenges andgoals. These plans may include exercises activities and adaptationsto enhance independence andfunction
• Occupational therapists work directlywith clients to implement the treatment plans. This may involvetherapeutic exercises activities adaptive equipment andenvironmental modifications
• OTs educate clientsand their families about their condition treatment strategies andways to manage daily activities moreeffectively
• Occupational therapists oftenrecommend and teach the use of adaptive techniques and assistivedevices to help individuals overcome challenges and perform tasksindependently
• Occupational therapistscollaborate with other healthcare professionals such as physiciansphysical therapists speech therapists and social workers to providecomprehensive care
• OTs work with individualsexperiencing mental health challenges to develop coping strategiesimprove social skills and enhance overall mentalwellbeing
• In occupational settings OTs mayassess and modify work environments to promote safety andproductivity for employees

Qualifications :

• Valid Occupational Therapy Certification in thestate of practice
• 1 year recent OccupationalTherapy experience in a rehab setting
• BLSCertification
