F5, Inc. seeks Data Scientist II in Seattle, WA :

Job Duties : Build machine learning algorithms and statistical models to detect traffic anomalies, L7 DDoS attacks and Web Application Firewall false positive detections.

Conduct research on predefined rules to improve the interpretability of the model. Synthesize data collected from our customers;

container environment to develop an insightful analytics platform that visualizes the complex communication patterns between Kubernetes container based microservices.

Work with product and customer success teams to understand customer problems and discover solutions in our data. Analyze user data to improve customer engagement and experience.

Build efficient and scalable algorithms that answer questions about our data. Rapidly prototype statistical and quantitative analysis and work with engineering teams to deliver them to production.

Develop solutions that make data collection efficient and streamlined. Work with UX Designers to craft new and innovative ways to visualize data.

Utilize experience with large data sets using tools like SQL, Hadoop, Spark, BigTable or DynamoDB. Utilize experience with data science frameworks such as TensorFlow, Spark / MLlib or similar experience coding in R, Python, Java, and Go.

Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to F5 offices may be required.

Minimum Requirements : Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related quantitative discipline, and one (1) year of experience in job offered or in any occupation in a related field.

Special Skill Requirements : (1) Python or Golang; (2) SQL; (3) STATA; (4) Tableau; (5) PyTorch; (6) SAS; (7) Hadoop; (8) Spark;

9) Tensorflow; (10) AWS; and (11) Matplotlib. Any suitable combination of education, training and experience is acceptable.

Telecommuting is an option. Some travel to F5 offices may be required.
