We are seeking a Construction Project Manager to join our clients team in Passaic, New Jersey. The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of metal fabrication scopes on luxury / high-end apartment, town homes, and penthouse projects in Manhattan - although the role will be primarily based in the office in NJ.
This role includes coordinating with clients, managing project timelines, and ensuring quality control throughout the fabrication and installation process.
The ideal candidate will have a background in metal fabrication, but this is not relevant. Candidates coming from a General Contractor, or a similar contractor i.
e. millwork, are welcomed to apply.
Responsibilities of the Construction Project Manager are -
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedules, and resource allocation, ensuring timely completion of all phases of the metal fabrication process.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong communication throughout the project lifecycle to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with design, production, and installation teams to ensure all work is aligned with project specifications and timelines.
- Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and adjust resources as necessary to maintain profitability while delivering high-quality products.
- Ensure that all fabrication work meets or exceeds industry standards, and manage any necessary revisions or modifications in response to client feedback or unforeseen challenges.
- Ensure all projects adhere to relevant building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Provide regular updates to senior management on project status, budget adherence, and any potential risks or delays.
- Proactively identify and resolve any issues that arise during the project lifecycle, mitigating delays and ensuring client satisfaction.
The ideal Construction Project Manager will have -
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum of 3 years of project management experience in metal fabrication or a related industry (millwork etc)
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore) and AutoCAD.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage budgets and timelines effectively.
