Dedicated Merchandising and Sales Representative

We are hiring a Dedicated Sales and Merchandising Representative for a new position based out of the Long Island, NY. area representing a nationally known producer of home cleaning products in a major National Home Improvement Retailer.

We offer highly competitive starting pay rate of $24.00 to $28.00, dependant on your experience, along with a benefit package.

As a Dedicated Sales Representative you will report directly to the Program Manager. Your day-to-day responsibilities will be executing demonstrations, merchandising and sales directives, establishing a positive rapport with store personnel and customers, and relaying information regarding inventory and sales opportunities by way of a web based reporting system.

In this role you will :

• Provide customers and store associates with product knowledge.
• Ensure product is always stocked and presentable.
• Assist in identifying opportunities for solution selling and incremental space.
• Provide support to the Program Manager and store employees as needed.
• Work effectively independently and as a team to perform all tasks assigned.

Desired Experience and Skills

• Ability to inspire and enhance memorable in store brand events and demonstrations.
• Experience representing products sold in national home improvement retailers like ACE Hardware, Home Depot, or LOWES is a plus.
• Able to communicate effectively with management and customers.

Position requirements

• Must be 18 years old or older
• Valid driver's license and personal auto insurance is required.
• Smart phone with internet access to complete reports in store.
• Previous retail sales experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) proficiency
• Physically able to walk, stand, bend, kneel, stoop, climb ladders, push, pull, and lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
