About The Position
Job Title : Surgical Technician Job Specialty : Operating Room Technician Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 8H Days 0645-1515, Monday to Friday;
with call Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 2 years License : Required to submit Certifications : - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) via the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) Must-Have : - Da Vinci Robot experience - Orthopedic and general surgery experience Job Description : - Work in the Operating Room with 8 suites handling approximately 15 cases per day.
- Ensure proper handling and care of surgical instruments and supplies.- Collaborate with the charge nurse and team leads for efficient workflow.
- Support general, orthopedic (total joints), podiatry, urology, gynecology, vascular, spine, and plastics cases.- Participate in required weekday and weekend call rotations with a 30-minute response time.
- Adapt to schedule changes and work holidays as needed.- Utilize Cerner for charting and documentation.- Engage in a friendly, unionized environment with a supportive permanent staff.
- Complete a floor-specific orientation over 2 shifts on average.- Demonstrate flexibility and ability to float to the GI lab if GI experience is present.
- Travel experience is preferred but not mandatory.
