Job Description

If you enjoy a job where every day is an opportunity to learn something new, then Front Office Manager is the role for you! As a Front Office Manager, you will lead the front office team by demonstrating anticipatory service and exemplary follow through with an infectious and positive attitude.

You will be essential in creating an environment where the team is motivated and creative, ensuring guests have a pleasant experience throughout their stay and keeping communication lines open and clear at all times.

What you will be doing :

  • Assist the Director of Front Office in all aspects of the department and ensure service standards are followed
  • Provides managerial support for the Front Desk, Guest Services and Fairmont Gold (where required) in the daily operational duties for these areas in the absence of the department managers
  • Train Front Desk Colleagues and fulfill training role in the absence of the trainer
  • Observing colleagues’ productivity, providing constructive feedback, coaching, and recognition when applicable
  • Have a natural desire to enhance the stay of every single guest

  • Salary Rate : USD $75,000 - $85,000

Qualifications

Your experience and skills include :

  • Highly organized, results-oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure
  • University degree or College diploma in Hospitality Management preferred
  • Strong guest service orientation and training skills background required
  • Knowledge of Property Management System an asset, Opera knowledge preferred
  • Luxury hotel experience with Forbes knowledge an asset
  • Must be able to handle a multitude of tasks in an intense, ever-changing environment
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
  • Strong knowledge of Opera Property Management System is an asset
  • Computer literate in Microsoft Windows applications an asset
  • Strong guest service orientation and training skills background required
  • Must have a well-rounded understanding of all aspects of hotel operations
  • Must be available to work flexible Overnight Shifts, Weekends and Holidays
