RESPONSIBILITIES :
Ambulatory Care Clinic RNs, also called outpatient nurses, provide treatment under the supervision of a physician or advanced practice nurse.
Outpatient RNS job responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Provide ongoing general medical services to patients within the clinic
- Perform physical exams and gather patient history
- Administer treatments such as immunizations and blood draw
- Outpatient RN educate patients about chronic diseases such as asthma or diabetes
