ES220 Senior Scientific Software Developer
We are seeking a highly skilled senior scientific software developer to support the next generation processing system to be used for data processing for the Atmosphere Observing System (AOS) project.
The candidate will provide support for the development of the Adaptive Processing System (APS) by utilizing third party open-source software where possible or development of components where needed.
The ideal candidate will have experience in RESTful programming using Python and Flask for development of the services and infrastructure to support the next generation of science processing, as well as proven track record of providing RESTful solutions and be experienced with Docker / Containers, Kubernetes and AWS.
This role requires a deep understanding of web technologies, server-side cloud development, and a passion for creating scalable and efficient systems.
Required :
- B.S. or higher in Computer Sciences or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of programming experience in Python.
- A minimum of 3 years of RESTful programming experience preferably using Flask / Python.
- US Citizenship or Permanent Residency (LPR) required, with US residency for the past 3 consecutive years.
Desired :
- A minimum of 3 years of RESTful programming experience preferably using Flask / Python.
- Experience with Docker / Containers, Kubernetes.
- Experience with AWS.
