Job Summary : Ridgeline Pediatric Day Health and Respite Services is looking for a full-time registered nurse to add to our small caring team.
If you love children and want to help those with special health care needs then this is the place for you! The registered nurse will demonstrate loving, kind and compassionate leadership skills along with autonomy and sound judgment regarding medical intervention.
They will provide skilled nursing care including assessments, medication administration, and any other interventions as listed in the clients’ plan of care.
The RN may also be responsible for new client intake, initiating and updating plans of care, case management and educating families as appropriate.
Ridgeline Pediatric, as a state licensed Pediatric Day Health & Respite Care Facility, has a mission to promote the physical, developmental and social well being of children and adults with specialized health care needs and their families.
Our program is best described as a skilled nursing day care that feels like a home away from home. Children and adults with specialized health care needs that can not attend a typical day care come to our facilities where we provide skilled nursing services during the day and on occasional overnights.
We serve up to 10 clients per day and up to 6 clients on our overnights. Clients do not live at our facilities but come daily to attend.
Most of our facilities are in residential homes in residential neighborhoods to help our clients feel like Ridgeline is a home away from home.
This position is for a rotating nurse that will work at one of our 6 facilities based on need. The ideal candidate will enjoy working with various small teams and getting to know multiple communities, families and clients.
Travel will be required to the various facilities. A travel differential is provided to help cover travel costs.
Facility Hours : Facility operating hours are M-F 7 AM 6 PM. Open most Thursday - Saturday for overnight care. Closed on Sundays and all major holidays.

Qualifications :
Current California Registered Nurse license - New Grads we will hire you! If you apply and fit our team we have a place for you.

- 2-3 references (professional and personal)
- Clear criminal background check
- Successful completion of the Ridgeline Pediatric RN competency evaluation (will be completed in your first 90 days)
Requirements :
- 1-year direct pediatric client care experience preferred - You’ll be playing with kids as you perform your nursing duties
- Ability to lift, carry, bend, walk and reach as needed to perform client care and / or transfer of clients up to 50 lbs - If you like to be on the move then this is the job for you.

- Ability to communicate effectively with other staff, clients, parents, physicians and the general public - Think small team.

- A personal health clearance verifying a clean bill of health.
- TB Test or cleared TB questionnaire
- Current Pediatric CPR and first aid certificate

Job Description :
- Full-time, 32 40 hours average per week, may include on call. - You let us know how much you want to work. You’ll qualify for full benefits with 32 hours a week.
- Work will be at one of our 6 facilities. Facilities are located in Redding, Yuba City, Olivehurst, Grass Valley or Auburn.
- Hours and days of work will typically be Tuesday - Saturday with Sunday and Monday off.
- May be required to work overnight on Thursday or Friday nights. Kids love sleepovers and parents love the break.
- Supervise and provide direct care services to both pediatric and adult clients with special health care needs including nursing assessments, medications, tube feedings, oxygen administration.
Yep, this is the nursing part of the job plenty of that to keep you busy with your nursing skills. Many of these kids have very complex medical needs that you can support and case manage with the families.
This isn’t acute care but stable chronic, lifelong conditions.
- Complete initial assessments and collaborate with the family and primary care physician to create a plan of care specific to each client’s needs.
- Turn, position and support the client in a wheelchair, bed or other positions. - Kids and adults come for the day. Your job is to make them feel great! Physically, developmentally and socially.
- Assist with transfers and ambulation.
- Feed or assist the client with feedings and / or prepare basic meals.
- Keep the client care area clean and free of hazards. - You’re working in a home (remember the clients don’t live at the facility but just come for the day) so think of all the stuff you would do to keep kids safe and having fun at home you’ll do that as part of your job.
- Assist clients in the participation of independent and group activities.
- Must work well in a small team environment and maintain professionalism and strong leadership skills. - Very small team.
You’ll create lifelong friendships with your team and the families and kids you serve. You’ll work with 1-3 staff of LVNs and PCAs on the nursing floor.
- Any tasks and responsibilities to maintain facility operations as deemed necessary for facility operations.
- Paid training - We take training seriously. You’ll have plenty of time to get a feel for the job and we’ll set you up for success!

Compensation
Hourly - $44 - $55 per hour DOE -
