We are seeking a Sr Internal Auditor based in Arlington, Texas. This role operates within the construction / contractor industry and requires a high level of expertise in auditing, general ledger, and related fields.
The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting internal audits and ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct comprehensive internal audits to assess the effectiveness of controls, accuracy of financial records, and efficiency of operations
- Review and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls
- Perform testing of key controls in accordance with established audit plans
- Assist in the preparation of audit reports that accurately summarize the most significant control weaknesses, associated risks, and recommendations for improvement
- Evaluate compliance with relevant regulations and professional standards
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff members as required
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in financial regulations and legislations
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing results as needed
- Ensure adherence to SOX - Sarbanes-Oxley policies and procedures
- Be open to travel as per business requirements.
- Hold a US certification in Internal Auditing or Public Accountant (CPA)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Expertise in SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) compliance
- Proven ability to develop and implement Policies & Procedures
- Experience in financial auditing
- Proficient in using auditing software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- High ethical standards and professionalism, as it relates to handling confidential and sensitive information.
