Location : Commerce, CA

Salary : $21.53 / hr.

Job Summary :

This position is responsible for handling all drain belt operations. Ensuring forms are clean, filled appropriately and accurate documentation.

Orchestrating the flow of the fill area such as equipment set up, stagging and following the production schedule. This position requires leadership skills with strict adherence to GMP, sanitation, safety, timekeeping and personal conduct rules.

Job Responsibilities :

• Operate the pre-heat system for 4 kettles controlled by HMI computer
• Bring ingredients from the warehouse (rice, sugar, vanilla, condensed milk & potassium, sodium)
• Weigh ingredients and pour into strainers before start cooking
• Batching Rice Pudding products
• Wash the kettles after each use.
• Record production and test data for each food product batch, such as the ingredients used, temperature, test results, and time cycle.
• Follow recipes to produce food products of specified flavor, texture, clarity, bouquet, or color.
• Routine testing of product for quality standards
• Raise and lower milk totes with the help of the electric pallet jack.
• Disassemble the milk totes to be able to throw away the empty bag that is inside.
• Take the tote out of the production area with the pallet jack.
• Keep the Cook room clean (includes taking out the trash)
• Remove the water from the Fill Room if it is required during the day.
• Save partial ingredients at the end of the day and properly label

Education and Experience :

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Food manufacturing experience preferred but not required.

Physical Requirements :

• Moderate degree of physical activity on a frequent basis
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Repetitive standing, walking, bending, twisting, stooping, grasping, climbing, reaching, and moving about the facility
• Hearing ability to meet manufacturing facility safety requirements
• Works in high noise area and wears the appropriate hearing protection
• Vision abilities include close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception
• Able to work a multi shift environment
• Will be required to work around spices and meat ingredients as part of the daily activities
• Exposed to cold / heat / humidity
