Position Summary :
Supports Automation Engineering and Operations with a technical focus. This position requires mechanical aptitude and a willingness and ability to troubleshoot equipment failures and follow equipment assembly and preventative maintenance instructions.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Assemble subassemblies, prototype and production equipment of intermediate / advanced complexity.
- Machine or modify parts as required.
- Read drawings and schematics of intermediate complexity.
- Assemble circuit boards of intermediate complexity.
- Wire equipment of intermediate complexity.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment of intermediate / advanced complexity.
- Teach assembly and preventative maintenance to other Technicians as directed by Automation Engineering.
- Respond to intermediate equipment failures by troubleshooting and resolving the issue or escalating it to Automation Engineering.
- Comply with applicable FDA and international regulatory laws and standards.
- Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation.
Requirements :
- 3-5 years assembly or equipment experience, medical device preferred.
- Follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient with computer use, Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Office 365.
- Mechanical aptitude / trouble shooting abilities.
- Strong problem-solving skills and efficient management of time and resources.
- Ability to easily adapt to new tasks.
- Able to complete assigned tasks with limited supervision.
- Ability to read and understand simple mechanical drawings.
- Strong organizational skills.
