We are seeking a Senior Product Manager - GenAI Platform to lead the development of our groundbreaking GenAI platform, with a focus on creating the simplest, most accessible GenAI solution in the market.

Just as DigitalOcean revolutionized cloud computing with the Droplet by delivering unparalleled simplicity, you will play a key role in transforming the GenAI space with the same vision.

As a Senior Product Manager for GenAI at DigitalOcean, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to shaping the future of AI.

You will own the strategy and roadmap for the GenAI platform, driving how we deliver solutions to both our existing and future user base.

In this role, you’ll need to stay ahead of industry trends and technologies, ensuring we build the tools our customers need today and tomorrow.

Your work will guide the next evolution of cloud computing at DigitalOcean, furthering our mission of making powerful technology simple and accessible for everyone.

What You’ll Do :

  • Drive Product Vision : Develop the product vision, strategy, roadmap for the DigitalOcean GenAI platform that allows users to easily build tailored AI applications using features like RAG, fine-tuning, and guardrails.
  • Enable GenAI Application Building : Own the end-to-end customer experience for users building AI-powered applications, from model selection to deployment.

Work on simplifying the process of building and deploying GenAI applications tailored to specific use cases.

Cross-Functional Collaboration : Serve as the liaison between design, engineering, marketing, and customer success teams, ensuring a cohesive product experience.

Model and Feature Partnership Development : Manage and build partnership with model providers, and other innovators in the genAI ecosystem to enhance the platform.

Drive Data-Driven Decisions : Leverage product usage data, customer feedback, and industry trends to inform the product roadmap.

Use data to optimize user experience, feature development, and business outcomes.

  • Go-to-Market Strategy & Execution : Develop launch plans and positioning for new features that make GenAI application development easier and more accessible.
  • Monitor Performance & Iterate : Continuously monitor key metrics such as user adoption, feature usage, and customer satisfaction.

Use these insights to drive continuous iteration and improvement of the platform.

Key Metrics :

  • User Adoption & Retention : Measure the rate of adoption for features like RAG, fine-tuning, and application-building tools, tracking how these features impact user retention.
  • Feature Utilization : Monitor the utilization advanced tools to identify opportunities for further development.
  • Platform Growth : Measure overall growth in user acquisition and active usage as a direct result of enhancements to key features.
  • Time-to-Deployment : Track how quickly users can build and deploy GenAI applications using the platform, measuring improvements in user efficiency.
  • Market Competitiveness : Benchmark product features and performance against key competitors in the GenAI space, tracking improvements in competitive standing and product differentiation.

What You’ll Add to DigitalOcean :

  • 4+ years of minimum related experience as a full-time product manager building ML-powered products
  • 1+ year of minimum related experience in building GenAI focused products inclusive of, RAG, finetuning and / or agent development
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Analytics, Mathematics, Physics, Applied Sciences, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success working in technical environments, collaborating with cross-functional teams to shape product vision, define requirements, and guide projects through critical milestones.
  • Exhibit strong leadership, organizational, and execution capabilities, paired with excellent communication skills for aligning stakeholders and driving results.

While the philosophy around our benefits is the same worldwide, specific benefits may vary based on local regulations and preferences.

We reward our employees. The salary range for this position is between $130,000.00 - $170,000.00 based on market data, relevant years of experience, and skills.

You may qualify for a bonus in addition to base salary; bonus amounts are determined based on company and individual performance.

We also provide equity compensation to eligible employees, including equity grants upon hire and the option to participate in our Employee Stock Purchase Program.
