The Rice Lake Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) has an opening for a Full-Time Staff Physician. With 13 CBOCs within the Minneapolis VA Health Care System, care is provided to Veterans near their hometowns, serving over 47,000 Veterans throughout Minnesota and Western Wisconsin. Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must meet the basic requirements and any additional requirements listed in the job announcement. Applicants pending completion of training or licensing may be tentatively referred and selected but cannot be hired until all requirements are met. Current VA-employed physicians who met the initial appointment requirements are deemed qualified.
Basic Requirements :
U.S. Citizenship (non-citizens only if qualified citizens are unavailable)
Degree of Doctor of Medicine or equivalent from an approved school
Current full and unrestricted license to practice in the U.S.
Completed residency training approved by the VA or equivalent
Proficiency in spoken and written English
Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Internal / Family Medicine (preferred)

Duties
The provider will perform outpatient duties, manage scheduled and unscheduled patients, and focus on chronic disease management, mental health collaboration, the MOVE program, and health promotion. The position supports the Whole Health System of care, emphasizing personalized health plans, healing relationships, and community connection. The role includes eligibility for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), offering student loan repayment options.
