Job Summary
Manufacturing Planner manages the scheduling and timeliness of the production process to ensure the company meets all deadlines.
Their duties include managing material and equipment availability, scheduling production and monitoring the production process for problems.
Duties / Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules and trackers to meet project timelines and delivery deadlines.
- Coordinate with all departments within Safe Flight to align development and production goals and timelines.
- Utilize Epicor to determine material needs and ensure timely procurement of all materials and components.
- Continuously monitor and implement process improvement.
- Ensure resource availability and effective use with Production Leadership and Program Management.
- Be prepared to regularly communicate status of development build to Program Management, organizational leadership, and customers.
- Address and resolve any quality-related issues that arise during the manufacturing process.
- Work with the purchasing group to ensure timely delivery of materials as well as outside processing that may be necessary.
- Work effectively across multiple different programs with varying manufacturing requirements.
Required Skills / Abilities :
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strategic thinker with problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated strength in data analysis.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Epicor or other similar MRP systems.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong team player and self starter.
- Demonstrated project leadership skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to develop tools and processes to enhance data analysis.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
Education and Experience :
- Two years’ related experience preferred.
- Degree in supply chain management or other related engineering field preferred.
