The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and documenting detailed drawings and plans for civil engineering projects.
These projects will include site infrastructure, roadways, drainage systems, and other site development. This role requires proficiency in CAD software and a strong understanding of civil engineering principles.
Experience with Building Information Modeling / Management (BIM), Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and 3D modeling is a plus.
Develop, review, and update 3D models and Civil drawings using computer-aided design or graphic software to depict equipment, systems, or pictorial presentation.
May be required to research projects independently or acquire subject knowledge by consulting with senior technical designers and / or Engineering.
Essential duties include : A) Create and maintain detailed civil drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D for site plans, grading plans, and utility layouts.
B) Document, interpret and digitize various drawings from historical sources. C) Review and revise drawings based on feedback, ensuring compliance with regulations.
D) Maintain organized project files.E) Ensure that all drawings comply with Site regulations and standards. Supplemental duties may include : Performance of Laser Scanning tasks and development of corresponding 3D models to support ongoing BIM, GIS, and / or facilities infrastructure initiatives.
Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill A minimum of two years post-high school studies or equivalent equating to 60 credit hours of college-level studies, including courses such as Civil Engineering technology, Surveying, algebra, geometry, trigonometry, strength of materials, and design and drafting techniques.
