UX Research Operations Specialist
The UX Research Operations Specialist (ReOps) is a seasoned professional with 3-4+ years of experience as an in-house research ops team member, dedicated to augmenting the productivity and effectiveness of FactSet's UX Research Team.
As a UX ReOps Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting the entire User Experience (UX) Research Team in their work on a variety of studies related to FactSet's stock and portfolio analysis software platforms.
This role is part of "The Insighters" UX Research Team and the broader UX Design team.
The UX ReOps Specialist plays a crucial role in the UXR Team by coordinating and facilitating research activities, managing research tools and resources, and ensuring efficient and effective research operations.
This role enables the UX research team to deliver high-quality insights that drive product and design decisions.
Within the UX Research Team, the UX ReOps Specialist will collaborate with other members and engage in a variety of research operations assignments and team initiatives, including but not limited to : task automation, research logistics, ensuring compliance in research practices and processes, democratizing research, internal team repository support, implementing repeatable methodologies, developing process frameworks and providing guidance, building a comprehensive research ecosystem, championing processes and methods, fostering executive and stakeholder buy-in for ReOps functions, knowledge management, asset management, research tool procurement, guidelines and template creation and management, onboarding new researchers, governance, and event management.
Responsibilities :
Own and manage the UXR unmoderated research and repository tool for research and insights repository functions. This entails : Maintaining an efficient set-up and ensuring the platform protocols established by the UXR Team are maintained.
This includes, Tag taxonomy management / Updating global tags, merging duplicative tags monthly, updating or deleting any stale tags that no longer apply, incentive payment processing, updating email templates, managing and updating NDAs as needed, connecting with FactSet teams managing invoicing and contract renewal as needed, managing participants in Salesforce, provide basic training or support as needed.
- Become the point person for all current vendors and vendor exploration, staying on top of potential new vendors and useful tools
- Serve as the point person for recruitment requiring specific lists of users vs. internal CRM filters used to create user lists through Salesforce - Assisting with securing specific lists from Sales / Consultants.
Additional recruitment support on Salesforce : creating / updating reports, campaigns, and statuses. Monitoring for interview no-shows, replacing / rescheduling no-shows, sending and ensuring NDAs are signed.
- UXR Tracking : Streamlining / cleaning up / consolidating all of our methods of tracking (status tracker, impact tracker, guided project tracker, UXR Sharepoint tracker, incentive / remuneration tracker, completed projects tracker) and create a checklist of all these items for regular review.
- Provide logistical support, schedule interviews, create project folders, NDA management, incentives
- Support efforts to socialize research results and evangelize the need for UX research (newsletter, eblast, project block / grid, SharePoint project board)
- Work with the broader Product team, as well as Sales, Marketing and technical teams. Our role at FactSet is to conduct research that helps identify how to build the right things and how to build them right.

- Provide transparency to management and project teams on progress and any delays, escalating issues as needed to ensure all projects continue moving forward in a timely manner.
- Engage in ongoing education in all areas of Research Ops. Education comes from many sources, and ongoing education may also relate to clients, business, and products.
Share your learnings with the rest of the UX Research Team.
Required Skills :
Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in psychology, sociology, human-computer interaction / UX design, qualitative / quantitative research, or relevant experience.
Experience in supporting an in-house UX Research team or conducting activities consistent with ReOps functions.
- Minimum of 3-4 years' work or equivalent experience performing Research Ops for in-house UX research teams
- A portfolio of work or case studies reflecting a skill set commensurate with the job level
- Good understanding of research tools and activities required for job tasks. Experience with Great Question or similar unmoderated research and repository tools.
- Strong understanding of the principles and practices of UX research and how Research Operations fits into the larger organization
- Strong interpersonal skills including writing, speaking, and listening
- Highly organized in a dynamic and multidisciplinary environment, process-minded, and able to think analytically and solve problems
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and deliver high quality work
- Good presentation, communication, and general organizational skills
The budgeted salary range for this position in the state of Connecticut and New York City is $96,000 - $120,000.
