Job Purpose

Reporting to the Head of Procurement IM&S, this role is based in Cincinnati and is an individual contributor position.

• Support the indirect material and services sourcing and contracting process for multiple sites in the Mid West USA (OH, KY and IL) to improve cost following Category Strategies and procurement guidelines.
• Be the primary contact to site(s) for the operational and tactical sourcing of IM&S categories
• Collaborate with sites partners, coordinate procurement activities for site

Core Responsibilities

Sourcing

• Manage site partners in other departments in the evaluation and pricing of alternate materials.
• Identify and guide local / site cost savings and cost avoidance opportunities following Indirect Material and Services and business targets and our needs.
• Support main sites TCO reduction programs, CI and sustainability projects
• Support the category management teams in the roll out of strategies within the site. Manage sourcing projects as assigned.
• Provide sourcing support to local site partners and partner with GBS.

Vendor Selection

• Define supplier selection criteria, build scenarios and support the allocation decision-making process.
• Initiate search for new materials or products
• Investigate and approve requests for vendor creation

Negotiations & Contract Management

• Solicits and analyses quotes, negotiate prices, delivery terms and investigate invoice discrepancies
• Implement global, regional and local agreements and support the financial targets as outlined by IM&S Procurement and the business.
• Conduct local negotiations with suppliers and ensure contract cover within the portfolio and for spend as defined by the Head of Procurement IM&S for the region and according the Global Delegation of Authorities / Signatories policy.
• Review purchase requisitions / orders and other vendor related administrative workflows
• Manage vendor and contract performances on all agreed parameters and including site feedback
• Ensure appropriate risk evaluation within the IM&S risk framework and implement mitigation actions while meeting our needs
• Facilitate sourcing and contracting issue escalation and proposes resolutions

Cost Optimization and Business Planning

• Prepare initiative plans and forecasts following business budget cycle
• Develop cost reduction projects
• Provide price forecast and market trends for main commodities and services
• Coordinate site reviews on all projects and manages together with CI implementation

Report, Process Delivery

• Support site and GBS teams on sourcing and contracting matters on a daily basis
• Facilitate information in SAP
• Maintain existing catalogs and guide the implementation of new catalogs

You?

• Bachelor's degree preferably in engineering, supply chain, business or other relevant field.
• 7 years of experience in Procurement / Supply Chain within an international manufacturing environment
• Fluent English
• High proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Understanding of procurement processes
• Preferable Knowledge of maintenance, packaging and capex categories
• Develop applicable recommendations and plans in clear, way
• Comfortable to work with multiple all partners
• Financial knowledge.
• Project Management skills
