The nationally recognized law firm of Garcia & Artigliere specializes in Elder Abuse and Class Action Litigation to protect vulnerable senior citizens from physical and emotional harm.

This fast-paced prominent firm is currently seeking a sharp individual to join our team in our main office in downtown Long Beach, CA to work with medical facilities to acquire and ensure acquisition of medical records.

This position does not require legal experience or background but does require a basic knowledge of medical terminology.

Duties include, but are not limited to :

  • Manage the day-to-day organization of case medical records
  • Draft correspondence in relation to acquiring medical records
  • Communicate via phone / written correspondence with medical facilities to request client medical records
  • Work with our litigation teams to coordinated acquisition of records and assist in determining if full responses have been received
  • Maintain and update client matrix of records

Job Requirements :

  • Registered Health Information Technician certification is a plus, but not required
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with medical terminology
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office; Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Detail-oriented, methodical and an eye for accuracy is critical
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
