About The Position
Job Title : Surgical Tech Job Specialty : OR Tech Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 8-hour days plus call Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum 2 years License : Not required for submission Certifications : BLS Must-Have : Proficiency in all surgical procedures due to non-specialized teams Job Description : - Participate in a diverse range of surgeries including adults, geriatrics, pediatrics, obstetrics, neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedic, GYN, general, and Davinci robotics cases.
- Work in an acute care setting with a team of experienced and committed staff. - Follow a schedule from 0630-1500, five days a week.
- Be available for call one night a week and every 5th or 6th weekend (Saturday / Sunday). - Engage in rotating holiday call duties.
- Flexibly handle a varied daily surgical schedule. - Float between pre / post-op and ER for trauma cases when necessary.
- Adhere to the provided scrub color / dress code. - Participate in a one-week orientation specific to the OR. - Embrace teamwork, share experiences and educate others to enhance departmental success.
- Be mindful of RTO policies : up to 7 days per 13-week contract. - Utilize EPIC charting system. - Work under the guidance of a charge nurse who doesn't take on assignments.
- Assimilate into a culture of exceptional camaraderie and commitment to safety.
