SAP Technical Analyst/ Lead

Job Description :

This role utilizes application development and systems integration experience to design, code, unit test, debug, and implement SAP ABAP and Fiori custom applications.

This position is required to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions to Butterball’s business. Partners with functional teams to review functional specifications and produce technical design specifications.

Resolves open development issues and identifies alternate technical approaches while performing issue resolution and root cause analysis.

Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities :

• Transforms traditional ABAP programs in legacy systems (i.e., SAP ECC) into new architecture such as S / 4 HANA.
• Utilizes and maintains in-depth knowledge of relevant ABAP in RICEFW (Reports, Interface, Conversion, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows) area along with AO reports, IDocs, CPI and FIORI.
• Ensures and follows S4 Clean core methodology.
• Responsible for Adobe forms development in S / 4 HANA (Online and Offline scenarios).
• Compiles Technical Specification document for all the developments.
• Collaborates with business partners to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Works closely with other teams (Integration teams, EDI, Basis, and security teams) to build custom solutions including interfaces to / from S4 HANA system.
• Responsible for all inbound and outbound interfaces for ancillary systems.
• Owns all end-to-end testing of S / 4 related additions / changes to programs, objects, forms.
• Responsible for designing and creating programs and applications through ABAP programming, conducting multiple diagnostic tests for newly created and existing applications to ensure adherence to quality standards and requirements and provide technical resolution to end-users for their system issues and help in troubleshooting technical issues.
• Coordinates with external vendors and partners to leverage third-party solutions and services.
• Provides technical support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve complex issues in SAP systems.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

• Expert knowledge on Core ABAP in S4 HANA landscape as well as in ECC.
• Knowledge of API’s and Core Data Services (SAP CDS) in S / 4 HANA.
• Working knowledge in S / 4 HANA (CDS views, Modelling etc.), FIORI, UI5, ODATA, Data Migration, LSMW and Migration Cockpit.
• In-depth knowledge of ABAP (Screen, enhancements, etc) along with debugging and testing.
• Good knowledge and understanding of Data Dictionary Objects, classical & interactive reporting, Detail List, and ALV Grid.
• Solid understanding of SAP development methodologies, best practices, integration technologies, such as BTP, SAP PI / PO (Process Integration / Process Orchestration), and SAP Gateway.
• Strong knowledge and working experience Adobe forms, AMDP, CDS, and HANA proxy objects.
• Familiarity with Fiori Apps usage and navigation.
• Proven ability to own the delivery of ABAP and Fiori solutions.
• Strong hands-on development experience in RAP Programming.
• Ample experience writing ABAP programs in the functional areas of FI / SD / MM / PP / IM.
• Proven ability to transform traditional ABAP programs in legacy SAP system into S / 4 HANA.
• Highly skill at supporting the analysis of alternatives and preparation of programming specifications, diagrams, and coding logic flowcharts for enterprise application modifications and creation.
• Ability to write code for Extensions, Forms (Smartforms, SAP Scripts, AdobeForms), Reports / Analytics.
• Experience with other enhancements work, such as BADI, User Exits, Customer Exits and Enhancement Spots.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Strong collaboration and project management skills.

Education & Experience :

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems or equivalent.
• 8+ years of relevant ABAP design, development, testing and deployment experience or the knowledge, skills, and abilities to succeed in the role.
• Significant experience in Fiori, CDS, OData, SAPUI5, Adobe forms, Workflow, HTML, BADI's and user exits.
• Experience with SAP Fiori / UI5 development.
• At least 2+ full life cycles of SAP S / 4 HANA implementations.
• WRICEFs development experience in S / 4 Hana environment in FICO, MM, SD, PP, QM, WM modules

Preferred :

• SAP certification in ABAP programming or relevant SAP modules.
• Prior work experience in Manufacturing or Food Manufacturing.

Working Conditions :

• Work is performed in an office environment with telephones, personal computers, and printers.
• The noise level of the environment is usually moderate.
• Sedentary position with seldom to occasional lifting of less than 10 pounds.
• May require standing less than or equal to 1 / 3 of the day.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
