Overview
The Account Manager Team Member will manage an assigned book of business consisting of employers ranging from 2-50 employees.
The Account Manager leads the annual renewal process, drives strategy and implementation, while ultimately responsible for the satisfaction of the employer.
How you'll make an impact Scope of Responsibility : Account Manager Establish and maintain a strong relationship with clients as a trusted advisor Strategic benefit discussions with HR professionals, CFO and CEO Analysis of the client’s current situation, identifying opportunities to advise and improve benefits.
Oversee preparation and implementation of the internal renewal process for employers Liaison between employers and insurance carriers to resolve any complex services issues Develop SMART goals to help proactively plan for the expansion of current employer benefits Organize, manage and conduct client meetings Prepare reports, materials, and presentations as required for employee-level communication to inform employees of the benefit package Maintain client information in both the Bernard’s CRM & HRIS platform Preform other projects as designated Overall responsibility for the retention of their books of business In order to provide world-class service, this Team Member must initiate and maintain strong relationships with both our clients and their employees as well as the insurance carriers we work with.
Ideal Candidate We are searching for hard-working individuals who have : 5+ years of previous health insurance experience, benefits consulting, and account management experience is preferred Knowledge of fully-insured, level-funded, and self-insured health plans Health & Life license required Strong organizational skills Exceptional ability to pay close attention to detail Strong record of being a self-starter Ability to positively contribute to a mutually respectful work environment Have demonstrated excellent communication and follow-up skills Persistence in taking difficult tasks to completion Ability to work in team environment Must be willing to travel to clients as needed About You Required : Bachelor's degree and 3 or more years client coordination and / or claims management experience, OR High School degree with 8 or more years client coordination and / or claims management experience.
License required. Able and willing to travel approximately 25% of the time. Preferred : Behaviors : Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
