Medical Records Clerk
Description :
- Performs specialized health information activities necessary to organize, maintain and use electronic and paper patient health records.
- Depending on are assignments, may specialize one or more clerical functions, such as coding clerical support, transcription processing and interface.
Coordination of record request, image scanning quality auditing, or serve as the satellite rep in off-campus locations.- Analyze / research errors.
- Participate in quality reviews. - Compile and trend data and generate reports. - Queries multiple electronic records and tracking systems.
- Understands chart organization and content, CSMC (internal system) and external requirements related to chart documentation and privacy.
- prepping and scanning records as needed, to meet department goals.*Individual will be pushing a WOW (workstation on wheels) through the hospital department and sitting in an office throughout the course of their workday*

Medical Records Experience (1+ Year)- EMR Experience (HHP uses EPIC, Congress Medical uses Allscripts, but will eventually move to EPIC)- Familiar with HIPPA regulations- Hospital experience preferred, IPA / Medical group ok
