Job Overview :
As a Payroll Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for our 500+ union employees.
You will be responsible for overseeing the payroll department, implementing efficient payroll processes, and ensuring compliance with all union and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities :
- Manage and lead the payroll department, including 1 other payroll specialist.
- Oversee the end-to-end payroll processing for over 500 unionized employees on a weekly basis.
- Ensure compliance with union contracts and other relevant labor laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with HR to maintain accurate employee records, benefits, and deductions.
- Implement and optimize payroll systems and software to streamline processes.
- Resolve payroll discrepancies and issues promptly and professionally.
- Prepare and submit payroll reports to management and regulatory agencies.
- Stay up-to-date with changes in payroll laws and regulations, and adjust company practices accordingly.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred but not required.
- Proven 4+ years of experience as a Payroll Manager.
- In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, laws, and regulations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Proficient in payroll software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Union experience is a strong plus.
