The Data Entry Specialist - Early Childhood Services provides critical data entry and administrative support to the Early Childhood programs at the Mitzi Freidheim Englewood Child & Family Center.
The Data Entry Specialist - Early Childhood Services is responsible for providing receptionist desk coverage, including greeting and directing visitors by telephone or in person, and entering program participant data into the program database.
Core Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions :
- Enter participant data into data management systems, Including attendance and medical forms.
- Enter Human Resource and staff data into data management systems.
- Enter professional development information into the Gateways to Opportunity statewide database.
- Prepare and submits monthly and quarterly reports as required.
- Provide reception coverage as needed, Including greeting visitors, responding to Incoming phone calls.
Standard Responsibilities :
- Adhere to all policies and procedures as outlined in the Brightpoint Employee Handbook.
- Collect, review, and utilize data and information on programs and services to inform program / department performance.
- Participate in regular supervision and staff meetings as required by department.
- Attend required trainings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required and Preferred qualifications :
- High school diploma / equivalent required.
- Prior data entry experience preferred.
- Previous experience with Child Plus and / or COPA data software highly desirable.
- Demonstrates organizational skills including the ability to set priorities, handle multiple projects and responsibilities, and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrates initiative and the ability to work independently.
- Demonstrates attention to detail.
- Demonstrates intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Outlook, and develops competency with applicable web-based systems used by the program within the first 90 days of employment.
- Demonstrates respect and acceptance of diverse individuals and communities served by, working in partnership with, or employed by Brightpoint including but not limited to race, gender, ethnicity, social-economic status, and LGBTQIA+ populations.
Job details :
- Compensation : Hourly Range starts at $16 / hr; offers are commensurate with candidate qualifications and experience.
- Benefits : Medical / dental / vision insurance, three scheduled weeks of paid time off each year (Spring, Summer, Winter), and additional flexible paid leave that accrues based on tenure;

- Location : Mitzi Freidheim Englewood Child & Family Center;1701 West 63rd Street Chicago, IL
- Schedule : Full-time, hourly. Regular business hours with occasional remote flexibility.
