Overview :
SpecialtyRx is a Long-Term Care pharmacy providing pharmaceutical services to long-term care facilities and assisted living communities.

- PTO 120 hours accrued per year.
- Hours : Monday - Friday 2nd or 3rd shift & occasional weekend hours as needed based on the business need.
- $2.00 shift differentials paid for all 2nd & 3rd shift hours worked starting after 1 : 00 pm.
Responsibilities :
- The IV Pharmacy Technician assists the IV Manager with daily operational needs in the Infusion department, adhering to the company’s quality and customer service standards, policies, procedures, and state and federal guidelines.
- Fill IV orders, including mixing IV medications, calculating doses, and applying all sterile techniques as required.
- Send supplies and equipment to facilities.
- Maintain IV mixing records.
- Perform regular cleaning and maintenance checks on all equipment.
- Program all infusion pumps.
- Enter data for all applicable IV orders.
- Order supplies from various vendors.
- Perform other tasks as required.
- Handle technician assignments as requested by pharmacy management.
- Maintain IV pharmacy-related equipment and supplies in the equipment rental log.
- Actively contribute to the evaluation and continuous improvement of client services, policies, and procedures.
- Ensure safety policies and procedures are practiced and adhered to.
- Participate in special projects to identify and implement operational improvements.
- Work positively and productively with others, anticipating and responding to responsibilities.
Qualifications :
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Current National / State Pharmacy Certification preferred.
- Basic computer knowledge and understanding of medical terminology, math, and analytical skills required.
- Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred. Sterile compounding experience preferred.
- Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
