Slim Chickens is a leading national brand in the fast-growing emerging 'better chicken' fast-casual segment. This is a great opportunity for starting and growing a career in the restaurant field.

We are currently hiring a full-time Assistant General Manager (AGM) to help lead our Slim Chickens restaurants in the Des Moines area.

This full-time position works 40 / hours per week , including evenings and weekends, and may earn $ 49,000 $55,000 annual salary.

The permanent location of this position will be in the Des Moines area. However, the specific restaurant is indeterminate, as we are currently developing additional restaurants and looking to build our management team.

Training will take place in Ankeny and Grimes or any future locations, so having adequate transportation is required. .

YOUR DAY-TO-DAY AS OUR ASSISTANT MANAGER

As our Assistant General Manager (AGM), you impact all daily operations, and your skills are critical to the success of your restaurant and team.

We are looking for AGMs who :

Able to assist in maintaining a culture of respect and professionalism.

Excel at providing great guest service and promote that to your team.

You are goal oriented and eager to make it better.

Exceptional Shift supervision

• You supervise shifts and coach team members on all job stations.
• Work side by side team members in food production and guest service when necessary to achieve great results.
• You serve our guests quality food according to brand standards every time.
• You work with your GM and management team to keep the restaurant clean and well organized.
• You manage labor and food cost margins every day by monitoring sales volumes and observing crew performance.
• You understand restaurant speed of service goals and how to achieve them.

Develop a winning team

• You understand how to work as a team and how to develop a cohesive culture for team members to thrive and want to come to work every day.
• You work with your General Manager to provide your team with clear expectations, a path to success, and appreciation for their efforts.
• You assist the General manager with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training new team members.
• You teach your team how to take great care of our guests. By promoting Southern Hospitality and a serve mindset.

Assistant General Manager administrative responsibilities

• Complete daily labor and payroll paperwork
• Complete daily operational paperwork and processes
• Checklists and delegation
• Scheduling, Inventory, and supply ordering
• Comfortable administering coaching and corrective action forms
• Assist in Performing store audits for training and improving restaurant results on a monthly basis.

REQUIREMENTS FOR AN ASSISTANT MANAGER

• 2 or more years' fast casual restaurant experience
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Leadership experience
• Excellent customer service
• Proven track-record of developing a team
• Adequate transportation
