About The Position
Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Job Duration : 14 weeks Shift : Night 3x12-Hour (19 : 00 - 07 : 00) Guaranteed Hours : Experience : Minimum 2 years License : GA or Compact license Certifications : ACLS, BLS, ENPC Preferred Must-Have : Experience in cardiac drips, TR band removal, and Bipap usage;
Vent management, intensive / critical care, and ED experience preferred Job Description : - Float throughout the hospital, caring for post-surgical, medical, and PCU stepdown patients on inpatient units and in the ER as needed.
- Patient population includes adults to geriatrics. - Manage patient ratios of 1 : 4-1 : 6, depending on acuity. - Utilize and demonstrate competencies in hospital systems such as Pyxis, EPIC, and SBAR.
- Handle critical drips and advanced patient care requirements. - Work weekends on an every-other-weekend basis. - Float within the facility and to sister campuses if required.
- Work one or more major holidays, depending on the assignment period. - Maintain full compliance to start on time, with a requirement for submitting core items and scheduling labs promptly after signing the contract.
- Participate in 13 hours of orientation. This position does not accept first-time travelers. Candidates need to be available for quick compliance to ensure an on-time start.
