The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a Logistics Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by :

  • Leading initiatives to optimize cost, transit time, and quality across 3M's global transportation network.
  • Aligning cross-functional teams, including Logistics, Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, Finance and Business Functions, to achieve optimal results.
  • Harmonizing and analyzing complex global data sources to uncover actionable insights.
  • Developing executive-level presentations to highlight high-impact transportation opportunities.
  • Collaborating with global stakeholders, both internally and externally, to drive continuous improvements.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution (completed and verified prior to start).
  • Seven (7) years of experience in Supply Chain within a private, public, government or military environment.
  • Two (2) years of expertise in International Transportation.
  • Two (2) years of demonstrated analytical, organizational and communication skills.
  • Two (2) years of demonstrated expertise in Microsoft applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Power Apps and Power BI.
  • Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include :

  • Ten (10) years of experience in International Transportation within a private, public, government or military environment.
  • Proven experience in leading Global Airfreight, Ocean freight and Parcel Transportation processes.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to support evolving responsibilities within Logistics functions.
  • A Master's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Experience with SAP software, particularly the Transportation Management (TM) application.
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Work location :

  • On-Site Maplewood, MN (at least 4 days in office)
  • Travel : May include up to 10% domestic / international

    Expected compensation range for this position is $141,150 - $172,517.
