POSITION
The Department of Modern Languages & Literatures at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Part-Time Lecturer Pool to teach lower-division (100 and 200 level) undergraduate courses in Arabic, German, Italian, Korean, and Persian.
This is a pool of part-time lecturers for the department to draw on as necessary. Qualified applicants will be contacted when positions are available.
APPOINTMENTS FROM THE PART-TIME POOL ARE TEMPORARY AND OFTEN MADE JUST PRIOR TO THE START OF THE ACADEMIC TERM. APPLICANTS MUST BE AVAILABLE ON VERY SHORT NOTICE.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Candidates must hold at least a master’s degree in the language of instruction or in a related field and possess native or native-like fluency in the language of instruction.
- Candidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students.
- This position requires the legal right to work in the United States of America. California State University, Fullerton cannot sponsor part-time faculty for work visas or permanent residence.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Preference will be given to candidates with prior teaching experience at the college or university level and who can furnish evidence of strong teaching.
- Preference will also be given to those with experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive environment.
- Preference will also be given to those with relevant work experience and those who bring professional capabilities.
