Job DescriptionEssential Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Software Development, including embedded processors and applications
  • Having wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.

Some barriers to entry exist at this level (i.e., dept / peer review)

  • Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
  • Exercises judgement in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
  • Internal and external contacts often pertain to company plans and objectives
  • Determines methods and procedures on new assignments and may provide guidance to other personnel
  • Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a "US Person" (US Citizens, US Nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees or refugees)

Education And Experience :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Software or Electrical Engineering
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • 8-12 years related engineering experience
  • Extensive Experience with sensor interfaces and data acquisition systems
  • Strong Experience with Communications Protocols (TCP / IP), Serial, USB, etc.
  • Demonstrated excellence in analytical, problem-solving and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead others and deliver results
  • Object oriented programming in Java or C++
  • Python scripting
  • Web application frameworks
  • Linux development environments
  • Git, redmine and reviewboard

Job Knowledge, Skills And Abilities :

  • Proficient with all development tools
  • Excellent organization and communication (written and verbal) skills
