Currently we are looking for a full timePatient Care Coordinator for our Foothill Ranch location.

ESSENTIAL POSITIONDUTIES

  • Greets warmly andmaintains a friendly welcoming relationship with all patients andclients including among others physicians and physician officestaff
  • Clearly communicateswith all staff including clinical and corporate employees in afriendly and courteousmanner
  • Responsible foranswering phones and greeting patients with the utmostprofessionalism andcare
  • Schedules newpatients and collects all necessary information in order to verifyinsurance withcarrier
  • Accurately andcompletely enters patient information and demographics intocomputer system
  • Submits patientinsurance information in a timely fashion to ensure benefits areverified before the patient’s initialevaluation
  • Provides patientswith an explanation of their benefits and thoroughly answers allquestions
  • Calls and confirmsnew patientappointments
  • Collectscopays / deductibles and payments prior to patient being seen byprovider per established policies and procedures.

Inform patient ofany outstanding balance and issues receipt when monies arecollected

  • Works closely withBilling Department Physical Therapists and Aide staff to assuresmooth patientflow
  • Follow up on no show patients on a dailybasis
  • Treatmentauthorization and / or continued treatment Rx followup
  • Maintains patientconfidence and protects operations by keeping informationconfidential
  • Maintains scheduletargets by reporting percentages of arrivals cancelations andrescheduled appointments to Regional AdministrationManager
  • Maintains physicaltherapy supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventorylevel; anticipating needed supplies and communicating to person incharge orordering
  • Participates in andadheres to as required the HIPAA Policies and Procedures of TherapyPartners Group

  • Must be organized andable to manage multiplepriorities

Educationand Experience

Education : High School diploma orequivalent

Experience : 12 years priorexperience in customer service and administration preferred;medical or PT front office experiencerequired.

PhysicalRequirements and Working Conditions : Requires prolongedsitting some walking bending stooping reaching and stretching.

Requires eyehand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient tooperate a keyboard mouse photocopier telephone calculator and otherequipment.

Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to recordprepare and present reports.
