Job Summary :
Westchester Medical Center, a premier academic medical center and regional referral center, is seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant to join our Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine.
This position offers a unique opportunity to provide high-level patient care to complex patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) and on the inpatient Critical Care Consult Service.
Responsibilities :
- Provide comprehensive and compassionate care to critically ill patients in the MICU.
- Participate in rounds, consultations, and management of patients on the Critical Care Consult Service.
- Perform and assist with ICU procedures under the supervision of attending physicians.
- Utilize bedside ultrasonography to aid in clinical decision-making.
- Collaborate closely with attending physicians, fellows, residents, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Contribute to the education of medical students, residents, and fellows.
Qualifications / Requirements :
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Current NCCPA certification and New York State PA licensure (or eligibility).
- Experience in critical care or a related field is a plus but not required. New graduates with a strong interest in critical care are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive team.
