Full-Time Sign Language Interpreter Needed in Oroville, CA
Job Description : We are seeking a Full-Time Sign Language Interpreter to join our team in Oroville, CA. This role is essential in facilitating munication and providing support for deaf and hard-of-hearing students within an educational setting.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in sign language interpretation, a deep understanding of Deaf culture, and the ability to work closely with students, staff, and families to promote an inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities :
- Provide accurate and effective sign language interpretation for students in various educational contexts.
- Assist in developing munication strategies to support student engagement and learning.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to foster an accessible and supportive environment.
- Participate in educational meetings with staff and parents as needed.
- Maintain professional and ethical standards in accordance with regulatory requirements and school policies.
Qualifications :
- Associate's or Bachelors degree in Sign Language Interpretation or related field.
- Certification through RID (Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf) or equivalent.
- Previous experience in an educational setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and munication skills.
